Daniel F. DeVreese, Jr., 82, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2006, in his home. Daniel was born on June 22, 1923, in South Bend, IN, to Daniel F. DeVreese, Sr. and Anna Marie (Kruk) DeVreese. He retired in October 1989 as Seargent Major from the St. Joseph County Police Department. Daniel is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Ginny (Aftowski) DeVreese; one daughter, Ann M. Delgado of South Bend, IN; three sons, Richard T. DeVreese of South Bend, IN, Jeffery W. (Tammie) DeVreese of South Bend, IN, and Daniel F. (Jennifer) DeVreese III, of South Bend, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Candy, Danyelle, Trisha, Stacey, Kelly, Chris, Lauren, Michael, Aaron, Austin, Garrett, Kristi, and Stephanie; eight great-grandchildren; and by one sister Elinor Andrzejewski of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beth Dianne DeVreese; two grandchildren, Kesha and Zack; and by one sister, Margaret Hartz.
