Daniel Elliott Almquist, 45, Anderson, left his beloved family too soon after a sudden heart attack at his home on January 26, 2008. He was born September 13, 1962 in Anderson, IN, where he resided all his life. He was PCL Supervisor IAC, PCL at Guide. He also was owner/operator of Elliott’s Downtown and Central Transport..
He attended Jackson Township School and graduated from Lapel High School and Indiana State University and attended Evansville University for post graduate study.
He was a family man and enjoyed cooking. He is survived by his wife of 10 years: Linda Bailey Almquist. Mother: Beverly Meeker Almquist. Children: Karleigh Davenport age 16, Cliff Elliott Almquist age 15, Ellyna “Pig” Almquist age 14 and Wynne “Weener” Almquist age 3. Sisters: Cindy and Nick Hart, Deborah Schmink-Collier. Brother-in-law: Harry Schmick. Grandmother: Argyl Meeker. Mother-in-law: Carolyn Bailey. Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Lora and Dan Toombs and Susie and Tom Lucey. Nieces and Nephews: Tiffany Hart, Abby Hart, Kylie Schmink, Clint Schmink, Kelsey Schmink, Griffin Toombs, Bailey Toombs, Jonah Lucey, Charlie Lucey and Tyler Lucey.
