Daniel E. Detwiler, 77, of Crestwood, passed away on Saturday, May 7,2016.
He was born on November 10, 1938, in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Dr. Daniel K. and Mary Detwiler. He spent 30 years as an educator and principal, retiring from JCPS, then teaching college courses at McKendree College in Louisville.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janice Rodney Detwiler; a son, Kenneth (Shannon) Detwiler; a daughter Karen Danielle Detwiler; brothers, Robert and William Detwiler; a sister, Bettie Detwiler; and five grandchildren, Andersen, Jackson and Maddox Detwiler, Chase and Colton Smith.
