Daniel Edward Randolph, 88, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 6, 2011, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa.
He was born July 25, 1923, in Baxter, Tenn., to Arthur and Fannie (Carr) Randolph. He married Anna Pearl Randolph. She died in October 1961. He married Reba Pearigen on Aug. 25, 1962, in Union City, Tenn.
She survives along with two sons, Jerry (Jan) Randolph of Marcellus, Mich., and Gary (Jan) Randolph of Elkhart; also eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, as well as a brother, Roy Randolph of Florida.
Preceding him in death were a son, Dan Randolph; daughter Sharon Thompkins; sister Blanche Ford; and three brothers, James, Arthur Jr. and Charles Randolph.
Daniel was an insurance sales representative for National Life Ins. Co. (now American General) for over 20 years. After retiring, he worked at Trailer Town Trailer Sales in Elkhart for 10 years. He was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. He and Reba enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
