Daniel Ephriam Fennell, Sr., 82, of Newnan, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 in a local hospital.
Born in Dexter, GA, January 25, 1935, he was one of four boys of the late Kenneth Dothan “K.D.” and Pauline Fordham Fennell. A Veteran, Mr. Fennell served in the US Army National Guard. He retired in January of 1997 after 25 plus years in the accounting industry and in December 2002 he and Kittie moved to Newnan. They are members of East Newnan Baptist Church. Mr. Fennell loved to work with wood and has done several pieces for the church. He also enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fennell was preceded in death by a brother, Delmer Fennell; brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Sandra Fennell.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years, Kittie Young Fennell; are children, Janet (Geoff) Hamilton, Karen Lynn (Robbie) Kinard and Danny (Dee) Fennell; grandchildren, Kristen (Joab) Henderson, Kyle (Brittney) Hamilton, Alyson Kinard, Bryce Kinard, Madison-Grace Fennell and Eli Fennell; two great grandchildren; brother, Frank (Carol) Fennell; brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Jane Young.
