Daniel Devane 79 Formally of Sampson County went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Wake Med in Raleigh.
He leaves to cherish his memory; His wife of 57 years Doris DeVane of the home. Daughters: Sharion Barrett, (Alfred) of Fayetteville, N.C., Dorothy Hall of Statesboro, GA, Gwendolyn Davis (Randy of Dunn. N.C., Sons: Dwight Mc’Laurin (Betty) of Newton Grove, N.C. Daniel D. DeVane Jr. of Dunn, N.C., Niece Jannetta Ligon whom he raised as his own. Eleven Grandchildren, Sixteen Great-Grandchildren, God-Daughters, Corine Gay, Luwana Lathon, Donna Young, Nellie Munns and Angie Lane. A Special nephew, Gene Purdy, his DPM family and a host of relatives and friends.
