Daniel Franklin Bowman of Belton, Texas passed away on September 11, 2014 at the age of 35. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 25, 1979 and was a resident of Belton for many years. Daniel Franklin Bowman worked as an Avionics Installation Manager and worked in the industry alongside his brother, John Galik for the past nine years.
He enjoyed spending time with his son Aiden the most; but, he also enjoyed playing pool, motorcycle riding, and playing or watching sports of any type. He is survived by his son Aiden Daniel Bowman, 7, his mother, Barbara Howard Holder and father Robert Holder of Belton Texas, his brother, John Galik and his wife Kristin Galik and nieces, Haley Galik, 11, Morgan Galik, 4 of Houston Texas, brother Sam Bowman, brother Casey Bowman and sister Tracey Lowery. Daniel is predeceased by his loving grandfather Lieutenant Colonel Gordon Howard and grandmother Margaret Alice Howard.
Daniel was fiercely independent and he was an avid sports fan, be it golf, baseball or football. Through the seasons he and Aiden, a couple of fanatical Texas A&M football fans, were two peas in a pod calling the plays. Daniel walked in a room and never met a stranger.
Daniel was that affable guy that everyone got to know and became the friend to all. He barbequed a mean dinner that the family came running to taste that succulent corn-on-the-cob. Over dinner, Daniel would regale the family with childhood stories or stories of ways he got the most staid to participate in some antic, which would have our sides in stitches for hours – long after he finished telling them.
Daniel was dedicated to his family and his work, in that order. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
