Danawn L. Moffitt, 37, of Great Falls, passed away May 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Danawn was born in Great Falls, MT on December 31, 1977, to Charles Klassen and Shiela Vice. She grew up in Great Falls, and in fifth grade discovered her passion for music. She started by playing in the orchestra, then found her voice, and at the tender age of 12 sang at Carnegie Hall in NYC. After graduating from Great Falls High School in 1996, she met and married Curtis Johnson. While this union ended in divorce, it brought about three wonderful children. She later met and married John Moffitt.
Although her second marriage also ended in divorce, Danawn continued to find solace in her music. You could always see her at a local karaoke bar singing her heart out. She loved to cook and everything she served was delicious! Anyone who knew her, would tell you she had a heart of gold and was always ready to help a friend.
She is survived by her father; sons Jake and Jeremiah Johnson of Great Falls, MT; daughter Sheianne Johnson of Great Falls, MT; adopted daughters Skye Rockwell and Kaela Ward of Great Falls, MT; sister Marlena Klassen of Great Falls, MT; brothers Ron Klassen of Great Falls, MT and T.J. Klassen of Tucson, AZ; special friend Amanda Alexzander of Great Falls, MT; and one grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother Shiela. The family would like to especially thank Peace Hospice for all their loving care during Danawn’s stay.
