Dana Lynn Andersen, 70, of Pasadena, California passed away in her daughter’s home in Harrison, AR on March 9th, 2022.

She was born on April 25th, 1951, to George “Thain” Hannaford and Doris Jean Hymer.  Dana was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother of 10 grandchildren, and great grandmother of 3 great grandbabies.

After graduating high school at Azusa High school in 1969 she continued her education at Citrus Community College for Cosmetology. Growing up she had a love for the ocean, became a surfer girl and developed a love for dolphins. Marrying the love of her life Frank Danny Andersen in 1977 and developing a love for Harley Davidsons, her husband and her became a part of the biker scene and attended many biker rallies throughout the USA.

After starting a family with their first child in 1981 and second in 1983 this did not change a thing. They continued to travel to rallies and developed a family bond with so many interesting people. In 1991 they moved to Golden Valley, AZ to raise their children and be closer to frank’s parents. Dana began to work with the school district and eventually became the school nurse. Throughout her employment with the school district, she became a mother figure to so many children. After the passing of her husband in 2002, she developed a relationship with a long-time friend of the family Clifton “Red” Whalen. Dana had the heart and soul of an angel, compassion and love for everyone that was never ending, but the mouth of a biker/sailor that included the sassy attitude that everyone had to love. She will be greatly missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Frank Andersen, her longtime boyfriend of 20 years Clifton “Red” Whalen, parents Doris Jean Hymer and George “Thain” Hannaford. She is survived by her daughters Tessa Terrill of Harrison, AR, Sandra Advincula of California, her son Leif Andersen of California, step-sons Shane and Cody Whalen of Arizona, her siblings: Kenny Hannaford, David Hannaford, Lori Buchan, and Robyn Gaitan, multiple nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Special thanks to Diamond State Cremation & Mortuary services of Lead Hill, and a special thanks to all of my coworkers at Legacy Hospice for taking care of my mother and my family. This team has shown nothing but compassion, love, and dedication towards my mother and keeping her comfortable during this process. I could not have asked for a better team to be by my side taking care of my mother.
