Dallas John Angst, a lifelong resident of Maple Grove, died on December 11, 2023 at the age of 88.Dallas was born at home in Maple Grove, the son of Joseph and Hedwig (Henige) Angst, on September 8, 1935. Following high school he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959 during which time he was stationed in Germany.When he returned from service, he married his beloved, Janice Birchmeier, on September 12, 1959 in Our Lady Church in Chesaning and they made their home at Layton Corners.Dallas worked with Midland-Ross manufacturing in Owosso for many years. After the company closed he enjoyed working construction. He volunteered for many years with the Maple Grove Fire Department and in his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and his vegetable gardens.
