Dallas Duane Hansen, 90, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Monday, October 17, 2022, at Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, Iowa.
Dallas was born in Audubon County, rural Kimballton, on March 10, 1932, the son of Ole J. and Cecilia Marie Mathiesen Hansen. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1950. Dallas helped his father farm while he was growing up. He enlisted in the Navy in 1950, where he served for four years. Dallas farmed for three more years after that.
In September of 1965, Dallas married Jackie DeMay. Dallas and Jackie adopted two sons: Denver Duane and Dustin Lloyd.
Dallas drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 31 years. After that Dallas had a number of jobs driving semis, driving for Jim’s Custom Meats out of Harlan, and he retired from SWITA. Dallas was a hard worker, and he was a kind and loving man.
