Dallas was born on January 10, 1942 at The Old Home Place in North Walton County. He lived there for some 18 years before moving to Okaloosa County. After Dallas got married, he made his home in Mary Esther, Fl for many years, retired from Borden’s Milk Company after 27 years, owning his own route sales delivering milk and dairy products door to door. Dallas had some 400 customers. He was also trusted by many of his customers so much that he had keys to their house and he would just let himself in to deliver the milk, collect his money if they left it and if not collect it the next week. After retiring from Borden’s Milk Company, Dallas started his own cookie route with Lance Cookie Company for 12 years before he finally retired. Dallas made many friends throughout Mary Esther, Ft.Walton Beach and Niceville Fl  in Okaloosa County. He was a man among men, if you asked him his opinion, you got it whether you like it or not. He was also a man who spoke up, shut up and sat down. You did not have to worry about where you stood with Dallas. He was also a man who was willing to help anyone that he could, if that person was willing to help themselves. If not, he knew there wasn’t much he could do. Dallas loved his wife and family very much. He was always doing something with the family. Taking care of his Mom was the most important thing to him. On the evening that Dallas passed away, he was at his Mother’s home and when he started to leave, he reached down and hugged and kiss his mother, said I love you, I will see you in the morning. Not knowing that he would wake up in his heavenly home the next day where he will have no more medical problems and no more pain. We all were truly blessed for knowing him.
