Dale R. Whiting passed away on March 24, 2022, from complications of a stroke. Dale was born November 1, 1941, living most of his life in Des Moines. After graduation from East High School he obtained a teaching degree from Drake University. His working career included teaching band at SE Polk, owning and operating Whiting’s Music, and eventually working as an independent financial advisor. Central to Dale’s life was his relationship with Christ, his family, his church, and serving others through his business.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Leota, and his brother, Dean Whiting. He was also a proud Dad/Grandpa to his children, Gregory, Mary, and David; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
