Dale McQueen, age 66 of Upland, passed away on August 17, 2014 at his residence in Upland.
Dale was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Bert and Mildred (Majors) McQueen on August 23, 1947. He graduated from Talawanda High School in Liberty, Indiana. He was married to Winnifred Wertz, who survives, on April 12, 1982. Dale retired from General Motors after thirty years of service with the company working different production roles. He was a former member of the Elks and Moose Lodges in Hamilton, Ohio and the American Legion in Hartford City, Indiana. Dale was a sports fan participating in softball, golf and bowling, as well as being an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
In addition to his wife of thirty-two years, Winny, he is survived by two sons, Steve (Lisa) McQueen of Cincinnati, OH and Doug (Jana) McQueen of Fairfield, OH; two brothers, Sonny McQueen of Las Vegas, NV and Danny (Carla) McQueen of Hamilton, OH; two sisters, Joann (Jimmy) Woodruff of Oxford, OH and Sylvia (Jeff) Schibley of Brownsville, IN; five grandchildren, Meghan McQueen of Hamilton, Megan McQueen of Cincinnati, Stephanie McQueen of Cincinnati, Amber McQueen of Hamilton and Tyler McQueen of Fairfield. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Mills.
