Dale McKibban, age 85, of Livermore, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the North Care Center in Humboldt. Dale Willam McKibban was born on September 17, 1931 in Winterset, Iowa to Everett and Golda (Douglas) McKibban. After his education, Dale enlisted in the United States Army serving during the Korean War. On December 21, 1954 Dale was united in marriage with Theresa Gales at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Humboldt, Iowa. Dale took pride in farming and also worked for KC Neilsen John Deere in Humboldt for 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore and Otto Field American Legion Post #415 of Livermore. Dale loved family gatherings and visiting with folks. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Theresa of Livermore; his children, Dan (Karla) McKibban of Humboldt, Lucy McKibban of Humboldt, Nancy McKibban of Livermore, and Patrick McKibban of Eagle Grove and brother, Paul (Katie) McKibban of Livermore. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; son, David in 2013; daughter, Mary Catherine; brothers, Lloyd and Richard and sisters, Norma Jean Brubaker and Joan McKibban.
