Dale M. Hamblin was born on August 9, 1927 at home in Clearfield, Utah.  He was the oldest of five children born to Melvin E. and Della A. Hamblin.  He lived his entire life in Clearfield.  He is the great grandson of Richard and Emily Hamblin, the first settlers of Clearfield.  He attended Pioneer Elementary, North Davis Jr. High and Davis High Schools.

Dale met his future wife Beverly F. Siddoway while working at the Lion Coal Company in Ogden, Utah for his future father-in-law.  They were married on May 19, 1950 and later sealed to one another on December 17, 1976 in the Ogden Latter-day-Saint Temple.  Married for 69 years before Beverly’s passing in January 2019.

Dale worked numerous jobs to support his wife and future family.  Among them were Lion Coal Company, WR White Pipe Company, Ogden City Schools and Mobile Oil Company.  As well as serving in the U.S. Army.  He retired after 35 years with Ogden City Schools.  He began his next adventure and started his own company in Landscaping and Pruning.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  He was extremely proud of them all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister as well as his wife and son, Michael Dale Hamblin.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen H. (Markus) Schlicht, Terri Hamblin, and Colleen Allen, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  As well as nieces, nephew and his sister-in-law, Lynda Hamblin.
