Dale Landers, 69, of Ottawa, former LaSalle County Board member, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Dale was born on October 19, 1942, in Streator to Patrick J. and Dorothy (Locke) Landers.
He married Joanne Aussem on November 29, 1969, at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. Dale was a lifelong farmer in rural Grand Ridge. Dale served in the Illinois Army Reserves and was a member of St. Columba Church, Knights of Columbus Local 393, Ottawa Moose Lodge 960, Ottawa American Legion Post 33, and LaSalle County Housing Authority. Dale served on the LaSalle County Board for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Ottawa; two sons, Michael (Jodie) Landers and Mark (Sonya) Landers both of Ottawa; seven grandchildren, Maggie, Keegan, Avery, Addison, Grace, Kate, and Evan; one brother, Thomas Wayne Landers of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Lane Landers.
