Dale L. Murphy, 57, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born Nov. 1, 1958, in Decatur, the son of Edward and Mary Murphy.
He is survived by his parents of Jacksonville; two daughters, Emily (Darrin) Barber and Lisa (Donny) Mortimer, both of Jacksonville four grandchildren, Brooklynn Brogdon, Colton Brogdon, Cameran Rogan and Nathan Mortimer; and three brothers, Steve (Luanne) Murphy of Jacksonville, Wayne (Rachel) Murphy of Florida, and Neal (Michelle) Murphy of Jacksonville, FL.
Mr. Murphy was a Supervisor at Mobil Chemical for many years. He had been a member of the Jacksonville Moose Lodge. He was a big time Cardinals fan, and enjoyed fishing, camping and woodworking. Dale loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very hard-headed man, but was always quick with a joke.
