WARD HILL – Dale Farnsworth Rogers, 74, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. The son of Harold B. and Beatrice F. Rogers, he was born March 16, 1944. He was a lifelong resident of Ward Hill section of Haverhill. Dale attended Knipe and Greenleaf Elementary Schools and was in the last class to attend the Haverhill High School Annex before it burned in 1959 and graduated from Haverhill High School on Summer Street with the class of 1962. Dale graduated from the University of New Hampshire Thompson School of Agriculture in 1964. After college he joined his father and brother in the family business at Spring Hill Farm Dairy, Inc. In 1968, he married his wife Marcia Babson.
In the early 1980’s, he founded Spring Hill Pure Nature Spring Water. The company would soon provide bottled spring water to the major supermarkets in the Northeast. In 1987 Dale started Rogers – Associates, a company which supplies milk and cream to major dairy companies.
Dale was a member of numerous organizations in the community. At an early age he joined the Boy Scouts of America Troop 7, and the Essex county 4-H Tractor Club. Before he was sixteen, he had won two awards being a part of this club at the Topsfield Fair.
