Dale Elise Lamberty, age 69 of Westport, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Long Island the daughter of the late Dolores Cutler Wollam and Nat Cutler, she had been a Westport resident for 48 years. Dale graduated from college in New Paltz, NY, and later proudly received a nursing degree from St. Vincent’s College of Nursing. Mrs. Lamberty had a great talent for baking cakes like few others and would create amazing 3D replicas of anything. She was part owner of the original Great Cakes and since then has been known by many as Cake Lady Dale. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Fairfield Garden Club where she won many awards. Above all else, cooking and baking was one of her greatest passions and she loved to share her many creations. Survivors include a daughter, Tracey Daniels and her husband Rick and two grandchildren, Tyler Shifflet and Isabella Shifflet; brothers, Brion Wollam and his wife Gloria and their daughter (and Dale’s Goddaughter), Tatijana; Glenn Wollam and his wife Bonnie and their son Tristan; a sister, Leslie Greenberg and her husband John; and Dale’s beloved cat, Truffles.
