Dale E. Pruss, age 83, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
Dale was born January 20, 1939 in Wausau, WI to William and Anna (Janke) Pruss. He graduated from Athens High School in 1957. Dale married Audrey Frickenstein on July 25, 1964 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wausau, WI. He was employed by Consolidated Papers, Inc. as a mill worker for 43 years.
Dale loved spending time fishing, hiding Easter eggs, and other activities with his grandchildren. He was part of the original Rosewood Estates families. Dale was very active in church bible studies. He went out every Wednesday morning for breakfast with the guys. He also liked to ride his bike through the neighborhood with his friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and a good competitive game of Sheepshead.
Dale is survived by his wife, Audrey; daughter, Laura (Gary Clay) Pruss; son, Kelly (Rebecca) Pruss; grandchildren: Alex, Matthew, Anna and Emily Pruss; and brother, Harold Pruss.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Pruss; brothers: Earl (Mildred) Pruss, Wilbert (Junette) Pruss, Vernon (Barbara) Pruss; sisters: Mildred (Wilbur) Utech, Doris (Roy) Krueger, Valeria (Victor) Harder, Lenore (Cyrus) Pruss; sister-in-law, Audrey Pruss.
