Dale E. Andersen, 62 of 137 N. Woodland Ave Oglesby, departed peacefully from earth in his home on October 10, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Dale was born in Spring Valley on March 3, 1953 to Clifford and Mary (Ferrari) Andersen. He served with the 173rd 82nd Airborn Infantry. Dale received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was an American hero and receive his honorable discharge in July of 1970.
Dale is survived by his wife Susan G. Andersen; one son Jeremy (Karen Paschall) Andersen, one daughter Rachell (Ryan) Aries; five step children, Christina, Chris, Michelle and Michael Morales and Ron Doll; two granddaughters, Ashley L. Harden and Emily M. Andersen; four great-grandchildren, Brooklin M. Harden, Caiden J. Fornero, Maddox R. Harden and Genysis C. Harden; one brother Clifford “Skippy” (Diane) Andersen and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son Dale Andersen Jr., step daughter Amy T. Madsen and his parents.
