Dale Deimel was born west of Knierim, Iowa, on June 25, 1926, the son of August John and Mary (Consier) Deimel. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1944 and served until being honorably discharged in 1947. He returned home to farm, and then became plant supervisor at Land-O-Lakes where he was employed for 30 years. He was united in marriage with Bessie Louth on April 19, 1963, in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Dale is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bessie; sons Larry (Deb) of Battle Creek, IA; Jeff (Cindy) of Manson, IA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; brothers Wilbur (Charlotte) of Bakersfield, CA; and Gary of Lake City, IA; sister Delores Fitzgibbon of Madrid, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Lynn ; two infant sons; granddaughter Emily ; brothers Vernon, Edgar, and Raymond; and sisters Vera, Elsie, and Helen.
