Dale Allen Augustson, age 60, of Webster, SD passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Dale was born in Primghar, IA on July 10, 1957 to Ray and Marlene Augustson.
Dale grew up in Osseo, MN and graduated from Osseo Sr High in 1975. A little about my father – he was an avid sports fan and enjoyed rooting for all Minnesota sports teams, especially the Wild! He loved fishing, working on cars, and recently started gardening – he was very proud of his garden and began canning his own peppers, pickles, beans and making homemade jerky. Dale was a friendly guy who was always willing to lend a helping hand without judgement or seeking anything in return; he had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh when you needed it most. While his health hadn’t been the best in the past ten years – he stayed busy and did not let his health slow him down.
Dale is survived by his son, Nathan (Tia) Leland; father and step mother, Ray and Linda Augustson; sister, Linda (Rick) Zahler; brothers, Vern, Dennis and Duane Augustson; nephews, Matthew Halvorson, Scot Augustson; niece, Carly (JD) Erickson; grandchildren, Dylan and Cheyenne.
Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Velma Augustson, Lloyd and Alice Kennedy; mother and step father, Joe and Marlene Taylor.
