Darlean was born November 12, 1945 to William (Bill) and Martha (Jo) Roberts in Upland, California. Later they moved to Folsom, California where she attended and graduated from Falsom High School.
On June 20, 1964 she married the light and love of her life, Claude A. Jarrett of Modesto, California. To that union of 47 years there came 3 sons, William R. (Sandra) Jarrett of Greenleaf, Idaho, Frank D. (Joy) Jarrett of Wylie, Texas, and Erik S. Jarrett of Chico, California; 4 grandchildren, Cori (Chris) Strothman of Idaho, William (Meagan) Jarrett of Idaho, Elizabeth Jarrett of Texas, and Rehanna Jarrett of California; and 4 great grandchildren, Joshua, Ellie, Chloe, and one on the way, all of Idaho.
Darlean and Claude lived throughout California, Oregon, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Connecticut and Idaho. Claude was in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 22 years, and that allowed them to travel before living in Greenleaf for 10 years and finally settling in Caldwell in 1999.
She enjoyed being a wife and mother for many years before entering the work field. She worked at Montgomery Wards, J.C. Pennys, K-Mart, Kit Mfg., and managed Greenleaf Café. She went to beauty school at the age of 55 and became a nail technician and a hairdresser. She opened her own hair salon and loved doing her clients hair until her retirement in 2011.
She loved doing things with her family and friends like camping, fishing and traveling in their motorhome. They belonged to the “Caldwell Ramblers” Chapter of the “Good Sam Club” and loved traveling with all their Good Sam friends.
She has 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Peggy (Richard) Blithe of California, Deborah Hart of Missouri, William (Cherrie) Cori of California, and Lance Kimberly of California.
She tried to live a Christian life that she hopes will continue through the lived of her family and friends.
