Cynthia Mary Kriksciun, age 63, longtime resident of Milford, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 11, 2012. Daughter of the late Sigmund B. Kriksciun and Carol Weidlich Kriksciun, she was born on October 2, 1948 in Bridgeport, CT. She spent her early childhood in Dallas, TX, before returning to Milford where she was raised and lived until recently moving to Monroe. Upon graduation from Milford High School in 1966, she went to work for US Electrical Motors, where she held various auditing and inventory control positions for over 20 years. She also worked for Saab Scania and Sterling & Sterling Insurance Company, and was presently employed by Dr. Walter Russo, D.M.D. in Milford. The family wishes to thank Dr. Russo for his immeasurable kindness and compassion to Cindi.
She is survived by one brother Peter Kriksciun (Nadia) of Milford, sisters Kathleen Kamenitsky of Wallingford, Mary Kriksciun Kember (Michael) and Noreen Palmer both of Milford, Colleen Corcoran (Kevin) of West Haven, and sister-in-law Jennifer Shopland of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by her cherished godchild, Kelli Santos (Tony) and her children Christian and Chelsea, and nieces and nephews Jaime and Kimberly Kriksciun, Kate and Paul Kamenitsky, Erika Kriksciun, Nicole and Jake Palmer and Edward Corcoran. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Curt Kriksciun. Cindi was an incredibly loving and generous person who adored her family and was by far everyone’s favorite babysitter. She treasured her family, especially the children, and for many years attended all the gymnastics competitions, dance recitals, baseball, basketball and hockey games and was everyone’s greatest supporter. Cindi was always there for anyone who needed anything.
