Cynthia Carvallo was born February 2, 1957, in Kokomo, IN; and passed away October 4, 2021 in Lafayette, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Noman Baxter and Rita Timberman, and her “goodest boy” Fred.

Surviving, and celebrating her life and the wonderful woman she was are her husband, Arthur Carvallo; children Hollie Young & Derek Lawrence (husband), Cody Young & Pamela Cripe (partner); Siblings Kyle Baxter, Scott Baxter & Theresa (wife), and Daphne Baxter; tiny dogs Peewee, Susie, and Jack; and many clients and friends whom she loved like family.

Cindy loved the simple things in life- a good book, cold coke, a sunny day, the smell of rain, vibrant sunsets, the crashing of waves, puppy snuggles, and spending time with the people she loved.  She had a soft spot for animals and has saved countless turtles sunning themselves in the middle of the road, given a home and good life to many strays, and hand fed her back yard squirrel whom she named Pippen.

Cindy was a giver and found joy in serving others.  She considered herself a lone wolf, but the truth is, she was part of a larger pack that cared for her deeply.

She was a loving mom and sister, and a loyal friend.

While we will all miss her greatly, our lives are better for having her in them.  We can find comfort in knowing that she is running wild and her spirit free, and her memory will live in our hearts.

When you see the sunset, think of me.

When the cool breeze touches you,

Know I’m free.

When you feel the sorrow of being a part,

Know I am not lost,

I’m part of your heart.
