Cynthia Collinge-Golab, 45, of Chicago and New Buffalo, Michigan, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Cynthia was born October 29, 1959, in Jackson, Michigan to Jared and Margaret (Piskitel) Collinge. In 1977, after graduating from Mona Shores High School, Norton Shores, Michigan, she continued her education at Michigan State University and earned her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago in 1991.

Cynthia married Richard Golab on January 2, 1988, insisting that they successfully complete a Ballroom Dancing Class first. Cynthia loved to dance and travel, and enjoyed the beach and boating. She was employed as a buyer at Marshall Field and Sears and also served as a camp counselor at Camp Bluebird in Holland, Michigan.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Golab; mother, Margaret Collinge of Muskegon, Michigan; brother Jared E. (Jera) Collinge of Round Rock, Texas, sister Anne (Timothy) Ryan, Lincolnshire, Illinois and her chocolate lab CoCo. Cynthia was a doting aunt to her 12 nieces and nephews, ranging in age from 3 to 21.
