Cynthia “Cindy” Schoon, age 63, of DeMotte, IN passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Aperion Care Center, DeMotte. Cindy was born on September 17, 1958 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Robert and Pearl (Lagestee) Schoon. She graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, Class of 1977. Cindy was a retired union truck driver and a member of First Church in Wheatfield. She loved escaping Indiana winter; her happy place was sitting on a boat in Florida with a fishing pole in her hand. During her summer months in Indiana, she loved spending her time with best friend, Tina Woudema & loving lapdog, Cookie at the campground. Cindy is survived by her mother, Pearl Hoffman; siblings: Calvin Schoon, Cathy (John) Abbring, Curt (April) Schoon; nieces and nephews: Joy (Jeremy) Kaluf, Kati Lapsley, Jennifer Schoon, Steve (Jodi) Schoon, Jake Schoon, Shelby (John) Morrison; great-nieces and nephews: Alyssa (Trevor) Williams, Lauren Kaluf, Jon Lapsley, Maci, Skyla, and Leo Schoon.
