Cynthia Hull, age 64 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Javon Bae Hospital in Rockford, IL.
She was born May 3, 1955; the only child of Norman Borchers and Judith (VanGorder) Bahr. She graduated from Freeport High School with the class of 1973 and the LaMolo Beauty School of Freeport. Cynthia met Don Hull in 1987 and she then married him on December 15, 2008. She had worked as a beautician for 17 years and worked at the Sale Barn in Pecatonica, IL.
Born and raised a country girl, she farmed and cared for many animals. She loved her animals, especially horses, Nascar racing, and most of all, being with her husband and watching him compete in demolition derbies. She was an avid bowler and loved all animals. She especially loved her horses and dogs. She was a member of the American Paint Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association and was recognized by the association as a breeder of Quarter Horses since the 1980’s. She was associated with the horse industry by showing, breeding, working at horse sales, reading pedigrees, as well as clerking sales. She owned and operated DUN RITE auctions and promoted barrel racing at DUN RITE. She was an active member and served on the board of the Cranes Grove Cemetery Association.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Hull of Freeport; mother, Judith (Roger) Bahr of Freeport; 1 Aunt Regina (Larry) Roemer and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and 1 Uncle William (Joyce) Van Gorder.
