Curtis White, age 72 of Gilmore City, passed away peacefully at Humboldt Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loved ones, Son, Dean and wife Robin, Jill Jergens, Megan Telford, Julies Hendricks, Dan Grause, John Grause, and mother-in-law Marilyn Holcomb. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Curt Wayne White was born September 7, 1947 in Anthon, Iowa to parents Merle (Newt) and Lucille (Jerman) White. He graduated from Anthon High School in 1965. In 1965, Curt was united in marriage to Sandy Dixon. Together they raised five children. Curt was employed at IBP and later Tyson Foods until retirement in 2010. Curt was united in marriage to Sue Patterson (Grause) on June 23, 2001 at Little Sue Park where they loved to camp and spend time with friends. Curt loved to play baseball and looked forward to the family reunion softball game. Curt was given amazing care until the end by the staff at the hospital and the hospice team. Curt was a kind soul who loved life and everyone he ever met. Rest in Peace, Curt. You will be missed by many. Curtis is survived by his wife, Sue White; children, Dean (Robin) Reynolds, Todd (Holly) White, Shawn (Jody) White and Tammy (Billy) Simmons; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary (Pam) White and Harold (Doreen) White; brother-in-law Jim Lane; many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and dear friend Peg Pedersen. Curt is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Lane; daughter, Jodi White; sister-in-law Cindy Grause; brother-in-law Jeff Astor and dear friends Keith Heinse, Bert and Lou Heinse.
