Curtis Ray Chaney
The son of the late Tom Fred Chaney and Lillian Nay (Lee) Chaney, Curtis was born on December 7, 1941 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 1 day.
Curtis had been a resident of Ardmore his whole life. He enjoyed being out in nature and in his leisure time he could be found mowing yards, plowing and splitting wood for his wood burning stove. Curtis always wore a levis jacket and black cowboy hat all year around, saying what keeps you warm also keeps you cool. A lover of Hank Williams Sr. music, Curtis made everyone listen including his friend Albert, hospice nurses and nursing home employees and turning them to fans as well. Curtis loved reading his Bible and could recite scriptures. He was a member of the Springer United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Freddy Smith Chaney; nephew, Thomas Eugene Click & wife Angela; nieces, Mary Jeter and husband David and Misty Dawn Jeter.
