Curtis Ezekial Hill, age 93, passed away on Friday at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Willie Green Hill and the late Susan Inez Holloman Hill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Fields Hill and a grandchild, Phoenix Hill. Curtis was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and the Samaritan Sunday School Class. He worked with the Wayne County Public Schools for 30 years as a school bus mechanic. He enjoyed time spent raising his cows and gardening.
Curtis is survived by his daughter, Rebecca H. Maples and husband, Robert; his sons, Gary Curtis Hill and wife, Wanda, Mark Darin Hill and wife, Mary; his sisters, Margaret Pipkin and Mary Jean Thornton; nine grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. The family would also like thank his caregivers, Christy Jackson, Toni Strickland and Doris Darden.
