Bishop Curtis DuBose, Jr. was born on December 11, 1952 to the late Apostle Curtis DuBose, Sr. and Dorothy Ford, in Yantley, AL.

At the age of thirty-two, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was called into the ministry where he was appointed Assistant Pastor of Truelight Holiness Church.  After the passing of his father, he was appointed to serve as pastor.

He was united in holy matrimony to Agnes Turner on May 27, 1972 and was blessed with four children.

As a result of his humble spirit and personality, he was a role model for some and loved by many.  His loving and caring spirit will forever remain in the hearts and lives of all who knew him.

He transitioned into life eternal on December 21, 2018 at Anderson Regional Hospital surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his loving and devoted wife of forty-six years Agnes:  four children, Curtis DuBose, III and his wife Mary, Huntsville, AL, Patrick DuBose, Lisman, AL, Amanda DuBose, Birmingham, AL and Jason DuBose, Sr. and his wife Tabitha, Meridian, MS; Six siblings, Dorothy Curtis and her husband Willie, Jimmy DuBose and his wife Betty, Lisman, AL, Felicia Mayes and her husband Glen, Cincinnati, Ohio, Crystal DuBose, Lisman, AL, Cheryl Moore and her husband Lovell, Tuscaloosa, AL and Christopher DuBose, Birmingham, AL; three grandchildren, Curtis DuBose, IV, Kiera Grace and Jason DuBose, Jr.
