Curtis Albert Adams, 70, of Crawfordsville, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Adams was born July 4, 1938 in Monroe City. He is the son of Rupert W. Adams and Bessie L (Myers) Adams.
He is a graduate of Monrovia High School in 1956 and Purdue University in 1959. He married Sara Jane Willhite. She survives. He was a member of Indiana Air National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He retired from California Pellet Mill in August of 2006, after 43 years, as an equipment applications manager. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Mt. Zion Lutheran church in Monroe City and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vincennes.
Survivors include his mother; daughter, Georgianna Ryker of Darlington; sons, C.J (Mary Ann) Adams of Crawfordsville and Eugene (Tammy) Adams of Crawfordsville; step-daughters, Jeanette (Rick) Cook of Crawfordsville and Sheila (Steve) Stewart of Crawfordsville; step-sons, Mike (Tracy) McGuire of Ladoga, Malcolm (Julie) Mitchell of Crawfordsville and Jeff Simpson of Linden; brothers, R. Wilmas (Betty) Adams of Monroe City and Dr. Cyrus E. (Peggy) Adams of Vincennes; sisters, Elizabeth L. (Tom) Reel of Downing, Mo., Elaine C. (Joe) Ochs of Dundas, Ill., and Eleanor J Pesch of Bridgeport, Ill.; and several grandchildren.
