Cruz Duran Ochoa, 90, passed away peacefully accompanied by his children Tuesday October 24, 2017 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Cruz was born January 23, 1927 to Paula Ochoa and Cruz Duran in Ascencion, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Columbus in 1992 coming from Mexico. He worked as a laborer in the agriculture industry and was a communicant of the Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cruz will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons, Hector Duran of Columbus, Victor Alonso Duran of Mexico, Jaime Duran of Las Cruces; daughters, Luz Alicia Sanchez of Columbus, Etelvina Au of Las Cruces; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Cruz and Paula Duran, wife, Soledad Duran and his siblings.
