Our dear Croyal Stinnett went home to his Heavenly Father on April 15, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Dina Stinnett (Farley), of 68 years, his two children: Cindy Ellen (Bob) Hinson and James Croyal Stinnett; 5 grandchildren: Stephanie (Craig) Kline, Joshua (Kelli) Britten, Jacob, Jonathan, and Amanda as well as 8 great-grandchildren: Domonick, Audrey, Cademon, Joel, Blaine Croyal, Cole, Graham, and Ainsley Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Croil Chester and Estella Stinnett; seven siblings J.C., Ethel, Leola, Clara, Clarice, Royal (his twin), and Lloyd his youngest brother. Croyal was born July 23, 1933 in Garr Corner, Oklahoma. Croyal and Dina were married in 1952 on his 19th birthday. They moved to Kalamazoo in 1953 where they worked at the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital until retiring in 1984.

Croyal had many loves such as hunting with his close friends and family and gardening with his wife and family. Croyal always had ice cream in the freezer and loved visiting with his many friends. Croyal loved his family and spending time with them; however, Croyal’s first love was Jesus and the Church. Upon moving to Kalamazoo, Croyal and Dina attended East Main Church of Christ, helping to grow the Church and establish new congregations in the Kalamazoo area. Croyal and Dina were instrumental in establishing the Portage Church of Christ in Portage, the West Side Church of Christ in Kalamazoo and Beechwood Hill Christian Camp in Hopkins.
