Cristin Curlee, 26, of Iowa City passed away on Friday, Oct.18th at the Univ. of Iowa Hospital surrounded by her family.
Cristin was born in Marietta, GA to James and Melanie Curlee. The family moved to Indianola when she was in 3rd grade. She graduated from Indianola High School in 2005, attended Iowa State University until 2008 then transferred to Kirkwood College in Iowa City and graduated with an A.A.
An energetic and creative person, Cristin loved writing and drawing. She also spent time doing crafts, including knitting & crocheting, beading (making her own glass beads), macramAC., tie-dying and more. She taught herself to play the guitar and enjoyed singing karaoke at pubs and with friends.
She was an avid reader and had a vast collection of books, video games, and movies. (Her favorite authors were Ray Bradbury and Edgar Allan Poe, after whom she named her cat, Edgar.)
