Craig Roger Laurin, a retired banker and resident of Taft, CA, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2017 at the age of 68. Craig is survived by his loving wife, Edith Laurin; his children and step children, Ben Laurin (Scooter), Nancy Polk (Shawn), Angie Adams (Mark) and Craig Patin (Carlee); his mother, Virginia Herndon; and his sisters, Carol Cotman (Carl) and Deni Francis. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Laurin and brother-in-law Dennis Francis. Craig also leaves his precious grandchildren and a host of family and friends who will miss his great smile and his sense of humor. Craig was born in Battle Creek, MI on May 28, 1949 to Ernest Laurin and Virginia Fisk Laurin. He attended Bakersfield schools, and was a member of the first graduating class at West High in 1967. He studied business at Cal State Bakersfield and Cal State Los Angeles.
