Craig Francis Miller, 45
East Nassau Craig Francis Miller, 45, of East Nassau, NY, entered into eternal life, Friday, April 26, 2002. Craig died at Albany Medical Center Hospital from diabetic complications while awaiting a transplant.
He was born in Troy, NY on March 10th, to the late Francis W. and Evelyn Culver Miller. He was a 1976 graduate of Averill Park High School and B.O.C.E.S. as a mechanic.
Craig worked as a mechanic for many years in Albany. He also owned and operated Miller’s Towing in East Nassau.
In his youth, he served as an altar server at St. Henry’s Church in Averill Park. Craig was most happy when involved with stock cars and bikes. He loved building and racing cars and bikes at Lebanon Valley Speedway. He was an avid collector of Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR memorabilia. He was an active volunteer fire fighter for the Tsatsawassa Fire Company and a social member of the Wynantskill Fire Department. Craig was on numerous fire company related committees including the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and the Rensselaer County Fire Chiefs Association.
Survivors include his twin brother Kevin C. Miller Sr. and wife Marjorie of Wynantskill; nephew and Godson Kevin C. Miller Jr.; three nephews Corey F. and Kyle J. Miller and Jay Kreutziger; a grand nephew Nathaniel Michael Miller; two aunts Florence Teal and Elsie Rathbun and an uncle Harry Culver and wife Thelma.
