COUNCELL, Craig A., age 48 of Richland. Craig passed away unexpectedly June 2, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born January 29, 1963 in Kalamazoo the son of Kenneth and Sondra Beznoska Councell. Craig was a 1981 graduate of Hartford High School and was employed by Air Technology in Grand Rapids.
He was a gentleman farmer, loved horses, was a soccer coach for 3 years, and was reserve deputy for Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department. Craig was very generous with his time helping his family and friends whenever needed. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many and will be greatly missed. On March 27, 1999, Craig was united in marriage to Brenda Hill, who survives.
Also surviving are his parents; Ken and Sondra Councell of Hartford; 3 children, Brandon, Zachary, and Kory; brother, Kevin Councell of Lawrence; niece, Kaytlyn Councell; nephew, Kristopher Councell; 3 uncles, Russell Councell of Otsego, James Beznoska of Comstock and Rick Beznoska of Richland; father-in-law, William Hill Jr. of Comstock; mother-in-law, Effie Hill of Cooper Twp.; and 4 sisters and brother-in-law.
