Coy E. Morgan, 87, Anderson, died November 17, 2005 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
He was born February 19, 1918 in Piggott, Arkansas, a son of the late Albert and Lela Vaugn Morgan. He was an Anderson resident for 60 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII as an Aviation Machinist Mate, Second Class.
Coy worked at Nicholson File and retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1980 after working there for 30 years. He attended South Anderson United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veteran’s of Foreign War, and UAW Local #662. Coy also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Lela Faye Delph Morgan, whom he married February 22, 1947; two daughters, Susan Elaine Davis and husband Jerry of Fairview, Pennsylvania and Joyce Ann Edgecomb and husband Robert of Anderson; two brothers, Gerald Morgan of Searcy, Arkansas and A.J. Morgan of Little Rock, Arkansas; a sister, Frances Swartz of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Bradley E. Davis and wife Anne-Sofie of Winnetko, Illinois, Rebecca Davis Kolodychak and husband Dr. Michael of Erie, Pennsylvania, Brenda Edgecomb Flick and husband Mark of Charleston, Illinois and Cheryl Edgecomb Blackford and husband Aaron of Anderson; and eight great grandchildren.
