Cornie Boruff, Jr., 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, August 23, at his home. He was born July 18, 1927 in Clear Creek, IN to Cornie A. and Alma (Doub) Boruff. He married Virginia (Weaver) Boruff on October 7, 1945 and she survives.
A loving father to their children, Kay L. Herrick, Cape Coral, FL, William (Jolene) Boruff, Marilyn Boruff and one special daughter Linda Vandeventer all of Indianapolis. Also surviving are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
He is also survived by one brother Harold (Ruth) Boruff, Indianapolis. His parents, brothers Jesse, Ralph, James Boruff and sisters Anna Kerr, Norma Hoagland, Beulah Boruff, Marjorie Reynolds, and Peggy Kerr preceded him in passing.
Cornie was a long-time resident of Indianapolis. He and Virginia graduated from Bloomington High School. He worked as a printer both at Bloomington Herald –Telephone and Indianapolis Newspapers, from which he retired in 1991 after 37 years.
