Cornellius Orlando Blue or “Cory” aka “Flash” (his father’s nickname) as he was affectionately called, departed this life on Saturday May 7, 2022, at his home in Clinton, NC.

Cory Blue was born on August 29, 1974, to the late Wardell Lee Blue and Annie Howard Blue. Cory was educated in Clinton City Schools and graduated from Alamance Community College. He also studied at College of Albemarle.

Cory never met a stranger. He spoke to everyone no matter their race, creed or color. He was a devoted father, great cook and a very soft spoken, lovable person. In his spare time he loved to study the lost books of the Bible. He was a well-loved son, brother and nephew. He was a friend to all.

Cory joined Union Grove Church of Christ Disciples of Christ at an early age, where he was a member of the junior choir. He was employed at Kivetts of Clinton, Vanguard, Walmart in Clinton and Performance Automotive as a car detailer. Cory took pride in doing his work with pristine detail and had 25 years experience in making cars look their best. He was also an associate at Legal Shield since March 2011. Cory met and married Amanda Lynn Bradshaw Thornton.To this union three children were born: Neilyah, Julia and Myranda Blue. He also had three stepchildren: Ashley Lambert, Daniel Lambert ( Ashley) and Memory Thornton.

Cory leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Amanda Lynn Bradshaw Blue of the home; daughters Neilyah, Julia, and Myranda Blue of the home, Ashley Lambert of Clinton and Memory Thornton of Fayetteville; son Daniel Lambert (Ashley) of Newton Grove; his mother Annie Blue of Clinton; brothers Tony Blue of Clinton and Dexter McIntyre of Houston, TX; sister Lakita Boykin of Wilmington, NC; several special friends and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
