Cornelius “Corky” Simpson was born April 18, 1957, in Montgomery County, Maryland to the late William B. and Viola A. Simpson. Corky was the 5th child out of nine children. On Saturday July 22, 2017 the Lord called Cornelius home.
Corky was educated in the Montgomery County Schools and after graduation went on work as an apprentice to M & M Welding. Corky became a highly skilled certified Welder and a “Master” at his God given skill and was in great demand to support diverse government and private contracts for welding. In addition, Corky had a gentle, meek spirit towards others.
Corky leaves to mourn his four sisters, Reverend Sharon Gibson, Gina Simpson, Victoria Simpson and Crystal Royster (Patrick); two brothers, Rodney Simpson and Burdell Bright; one sister-in-law, Sandra Simpson (David Tyrone, deceased); one aunt, Vivian Campbell; a host of nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
Corky was preceded in death by his parents William B. and Viola A. Simpson; sister-in-law Gloria Simpson; brothers, William Gary Simpson (Elbows), and David Tyrone Simpson.
At times, we entertain angels unaware, Cornelius “Corky” Simpson was a gentle, loving angel. Our family will miss him as well as others.
