Cornelio enjoyed fishing, hunting, cookouts, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed the simple life and would help anyone in need. Cornelio never forgot where he came from and would instill that in his family.
He was a seasonal farmworker who spent equal amounts of time in Mexico and the U.S. His work caused him to travel to many towns and states. He would travel the east coast of Florida and neighboring states.
Mr. Benitez-Carrillo is survived by his children, Cornelio Jr., III, Maria, Cornelio Jr., II, Adalinda, Adam, and Estela; grandchildren, Benitez-Leslie, Dante, Leal, Mia, and Tatiana, Zamora-Jiovanni, Jonathan, Richards-John, and Sofia; and siblings, Eluteria, Antonia, Silvestre, Vesitacion, Aureliano, Pedro, Tolentino, and Felix.
