Cornelia ‘Cora’ VanKrimpen, passed away Monday afternoon, November 18, 2013 at the Upjohn Community Care Center, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Cora was born on November 28, 1910 in Krabbendijke, The Netherlands, the last of 12 children to the late Cornelius and Antonia Dansen VanLoo. She married Bastiaan VanKrimpen on July 19, 1933. They moved to Kalamazoo in 1954. She enjoyed taking care of children, flowers and traveling.
Her family meant everything to her, first and foremost, and she will be missed very much. Surviving are her two children Conny Daniel Hodgkins of Kalamazoo, Bastiaan VanKrimpen, Jr. of Portage; six grandchildren, Judy Tom Fawley, Daniel Hodgkins II, Richard Hodgkins, Randall Kellie Hodgkins, Bastiaan VanKrimpen III, Troy Jody VanKrimpen; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dirk Cathrina VanKrimpen of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law, Martina VanLoo of Kalamazoo, close friends, Ray and Gail Warner and many nieces and nephews.
