Corine Viola (Langford) Owens, 83 years old, a 4th Generation Florida cracker of Dunedin, FL entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2013. She was born in Palm Harbor, Florida to John T. and Lenora J. Langford.
Throughout her life she worked in a variety of positions. She started out at Clearwater Cigar factory to the H.P. Hoods Juice Plant in Dunedin where she sectionized fruit and another time grading fruit for juicing. Late in life she worked at Food Fair packaging meat, then worked for two nursing homes where she gained her skill for housekeepingas well as some aid work. Toward the end, prior to her starting her own business, she worked at the Temp resistor manufacture in Dunedin; made fishing lures for AL&S Bait company and finally made sandwiches for Smiles Sandwich Shop for Southland Corporation. Corine also worked with her sister, Lala J.
She started Owens Cleaning and worked until 76 when she had to retire due to health reasons.
For a few years, she lived with her son Norman Troutman until 2007, when she broke her hip. During recovery, she stayed at Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Clearwater from June to August 2007.
