Cordelia L. “Cordie” Scott, 98, of Anderson, passed away on January 28, 2016 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born on June 12, 1917 in Crawfordsville to the late William and Hattie White.
She worked at Fort Benjamin Harrison Financial Center in Indianapolis from 1953 and retired after 37 years in 1990.
She was an avid walker before residing at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was also an excellent croquet player where she won several local tournaments. Cordelia also enjoyed playing poker with family and friends.
Cordie is survived by three grandchildren, Candace Scott and Erica Hendricks of Anderson, and Eric Hendricks of Florida; five great-grandchildren, Jesika Davis of Anderson, Justin Lewis of Muncie, Kayla Davis and Kianna Lewis of California, and Christopher Hendricks of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Scott; three daughters, Judith Scott, Sandra Hendricks, and Jennifer Scott; granddaughter, Diana Davis; three sisters, Etta Mae Hall, Esther Davis and Ruth McDaniel; and brother, Bill White.
