Corato “Rocky” DePinto, 64, of Bayonne, NJ died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.  He was the beloved husband of Elzbieta “Ela” (Filonowicz) Kocjan.  Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Cosmo and Angelina (Servodio) DePinto.  A 1976 graduate of Bayonne High School, Rocky was a chemical operator for the former Caschem chemical plant for 35 years before retiring.  A talented chef, he cooked for weddings and also did painting on the side.  He loved the music of Iron Maiden, Rush and Dream Theater.  An avid sports fan, Rocky was a faithful follower of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Rangers, New York Mets and New York Knicks and enjoyed all auto racing.  He treasured the times he traveled in Europe.  Rocky was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fogelsville, PA.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who relished the time spent with his family.  

 

Survivors: Wife, Elzbieta “Ela”; children, Cassandra Gallino and her husband Chris of Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, Cosmo DePinto and his wife Nicole of Massapequa, NY, Crystle Sisk of Bayonne; stepchildren, Rozalia Perroni and her husband Mike, Paulina Kocjan and her husband Vinny all of MA; siblings, Cosmo DePinto and his wife Kathleen Acevedo-DePinto of Bethlehem, Nancy Zimbardi and Gino DePinto; grandchildren, Christopher Joseph, Gianna Theresa, Claudio Corato, Lucas John and Ethan Peter; nephews; nieces; and many friends.
